Post by: ghostworld on March 22, 2010, 09:47:02 PM
Hey everyone this is my first post, im on edge of purchasing my first ceriatone

just wanted to come on here and say hey

I haven't tried it, but I have heard of people using pedals like chorus, delay and reverb through the loop so it doesn't run through the tone stack of the amp. But then other people disagree I would say its a matter of taste. Personally I would have to believe it sounds better in the loop.

I you're style is clean amp with some OD pedals,... than infront is OK (just put it at the end of your pedal chain).
If you use amps OD, than loop is a must to me... but with loop, other issues might appear.
Like impedance mismatch, overloading AD converters, serial loop path (some prefer parallel) ...

To me, reverb, chorus, delay (if you have a loop) are much easier to control.  When you get those 3, plus a distortion and a wah and what ever else in front, it gets a little loud and I get some weird slap back stuff from the delay.

I preffer the loop, even when I'm overdriving with pedals... it is kind of clearer to me. ..
