Title: For those who have purchased - How are purchases handled?
Post by: cram on April 15, 2008, 08:48:01 PM
I'm new to ceriatone amps. I'm about to execute on my first purchase.  Nik actually gave me great info with the account he wants paypal payments made to.  I've not done paypal like this in the past so I'm wondering how receipt and shipping information is handled.

Any story or experienced account is appreciated.

yeh i always approach payment over the internet with trepidation but i can assure you, at least in my experience, paypal is great. soooo easy. you sign up at paypal, put in your details and everything - email is the cog this wheel turns upon my friend. seller sends you an email through paypal requesting money, you click on the link transfer the money (all through paypal, which keeps your credit card details) and since paypal has all your address information this gets sent to the seller.

so easy...and im an idiot!

Hey Cram,

My (all positive) experience ...

It's just like any other PayPal transaction, where you pay to Nik's account which is his email address. Use the "message" section to specify exactly what you are ordering.

I'm in Austin, TX. I ordered a Bluesbreaker completed chassis on March 4, and took receipt April 10. It was well packed: the chassis was sealed in plastic film, then wrapped extensively in bubble wrap and boxed. The box was placed in a second box -- like 2" oversize -- packed with styrofoam peanuts. Tubes were boxed or bubble wrapped and packed with the chassis. The carrier was DHL. I received tracking info via email. My neighbor received it, as I was away and the delivery required signature and the driver apparently has discretion (good call!). Otherwise, DHL leaves a notice if they miss you, and attempts to re-deliver next day.

The carton showed signs of heavy handling, but not bad. I unpacked it, set it up and rocked out! If there was a fingerprint on it, I didn't see one. It's like a freshly minted coin!

The tone literally takes my breath. I actually caught myself turning to check the reverb setting, on a non reverb amp!!!

Suffice to say, I'm planning my next purchase.

+1. Mine arrived today. Well packed and DHL are as good as any courier out there. Paypal is as sweetas. I've used it close to 100 times now with never a worry. It does cost a small %age of the total cost though. I am from NewZealand and keep a close eye on exchange rates before I click the pay now button. When your spending 4 or 5 hundy it can save a few bucks if you currency is not the USD. Just depends on how much your hanging out to get the stuff. But Nik is super efficent and obliging and seems to be an exellent allround dude.

Thank you for the replies.  I have ppal hooked up to my account and have only used it to send and receive payment with people I know in payment for work I do or goods exchanged...  My only trepadition was because the email nik offered was another domain than ceriatone.

Thank you again for the replies.
