I always wanted a goldtop with mini's, I love that sound I was in a band with a guy who had one (early 70's model) It sounded great through a stock Twin Reverb Enjoy! The new design mini's Gibson came up with are a lil hotter than the original mini humbuckers without losing the high end they were known for. like the originals they appear to be wound identical to each other, though, so you still have a weak bridge pup, like the originals, but i hardly ever use the bridge pup alone anyway, so it's not an issue for me.
