I haven't built a head case, but wanted to show mine off. Not as pretty as some builds, but it's my first amp build. Fired up straight off too. Grin
Must say I love how it sounds. Cool
Running Tungsol 12AX7 and Winged C EL34 at the moment.

Can anyone tell me about that 820 ohm resistor on pin 2 of tube one? It's on the layout, but I've not seen anybuilds that include it.
Thanks for looking!

You did a good job on your Express.

That 820R is a grid blocker into next stage.  A guy can use a variety of values.  This something Ken Fischer added to Liverpool and Express amps to help in stability on amps that needed it.  Not just a standard design, only if needed.  I like to add that my builds.

Thanks for the clarification Mark.
This Expression build left me with the urgent need for an attenuator.
This one's loosely based on the Airbrake and it works great with my Wreck and also my old JMP Marshall.

At max attenuation there is a slight loss of brightness, but I can live with that. In the lower levels of attenuation there's no tonal change I'm noticing. One other great side effect is it also attenuates the not inconsiderable hiss the Wreck generates.  Cool

This one's Mk 1, I've got some nicer and smaller wire wound resistors coming to build an enclosed, more roadworthy version.
