So after many unsuccessful solders, I was finally able to attach (with solder) the ground bar across the pots of my Expression build.  Then, as I started working on other areas, a bit of pressure loosened the solders and I am back where i started with the bar on my workbench.  My question is:  Can the grounding points occur with more star ground on the chassis without affecting performance?  Is there any reason beyond accessibility that this form of ground connection is used?

Thanks for your help.

Your question is a bit unclear, can you post some pictures?  What brand pots are these?  Alpha pots are usualy pretty easy to solder onto. But otther brands, like CTS, can be more difficult.  Sometimes it is necesarry to sand/scuff the back of the pot so the solder will flow and grab.
