Title: London scalling vs hall vvr Post by: deltacomet on September 05, 2011, 08:19:25 PM I have a standart OTS 50w and I want to know which is better. I want to have a good sound at low level. I don't able to find some demo on internet. What is good or bad about London vs Hall ?
Where did you install the pot on OTS ? Thanks Title: Re: London scalling vs hall vvr Post by: plasticvonaband on September 05, 2011, 08:23:55 PM here's a good write up on the London Kit being installed in an OTS

They are both good, as are many great attenuators and even post-PI master volumes. All work to a degree. they are great for shaving some output down at a gig or a jam. But if you want bedroom volumes without compromise, they'll all disappoint. Title: Re: London scalling vs hall vvr Post by: deltacomet on September 06, 2011, 11:34:50 AM I know that at very low level all attenuator don't work well. But I need low lvl like recording at home or small gig, because I have a THD attenuator but it cost me like 400$ if i can sell it for a London or hallthat cost 50 $ and it can be inside my amp that would be great.

Gregg Thanks Gregg but after Read it. I think I will try the hall VVR. VVR has 5 wires and 1 pot to install vs London /w lot of mod and 3 pots :( . Title: Re: London scalling vs hall vvr Post by: plasticvonaband on September 07, 2011, 11:55:14 PM are you using a c-lator? they really help with getting good sounds at lower volumes, as you can crank the masters up on the amp and use teh c-lator as a global master. that's what i and alot of others do, and no modding required ;)
