Will the DC30 play clean or is it more of a rockers distorted amp?

The DC30 has one of the best clean tones I've experienced.

It's got such a dynamic clean that most other amps sound very boring by comparison.  I think it does a better clean than distortion.  It just sounds so alive.

If you're worried about DC30 clean have a listen to this.  It's unprocessed so what you're hearing is almost what your ears would be hearing next to the amp (only nicer when you're actually standing in front of it...much nicer) - except mics ain't ears or course.

Tone is awesome, but the playing was just superb!  Well done!

The clean is nothing short of amazing.

Matchless have not bettered this amp since they have been in existence.

It is still the benchmark in my opinion...And this ceriatone amp is probably the best clone together with the Overtone Special

Sorry to dig up this old thread, but WOW! that clip does sound AMAZING!   Thanks for sharing the great clip!

I play a VibroChamp with a 12" Alnico right now, so i'm thinking a DC-30 would be far too loud for my church gig situation.  Is there something with cleans like that in the 5-15 watt range?  Or is that too low wattage to keep that kind of headroom?  I'm curious about the Creme Brulee too since that sounds like it might be a lower volume amp in a similar vein. or maybe i'm way off here...  I'm sure this has been asked before, so i'll keep reading around Smiley

The DC-30 is a fantastic amp and will do clean to quite a high volume, and when you push it louder your guitar volume will clean the tone up nicely.

It also has a half power switch taking it to a nominal 15 watts though its still loud but I have a 5w SE EL84 amp and I doubt that would be loud enough to get a good clean, mine gets dirty quite early.

Go with the DC-30 you really wont regret it.
