Wow I put some fresh tubes in the amp and plugged it into my 1x12 cab vintage 30.
Warmed her up and turned the juice on. The first chord from the tele just blew me away.
I debated trying the a/b box so I did it... Crank the #1 channel up and I used #2 for a "cleaner"
tone.. Perfect sonic bliss...

My only complaint is I have it on 15 watts master volume engaged and I still can't get it
past 1or 2 on the volume, it gets way loud, which is a good thing..

If anyone has a 1x12 combo cab or a head cab I will buy it..
That's the only thing I need,

This amp kills it, I really don't think I'll ever use it on 30 watts
15 is way more than enough...

I know it's a honeymoon review but I really dig this amp...

Yes, she's loud all right!

But the secret to this kind of amp is that in a live situation, beyond a certain volume the amp doesn't get louder, it gets grindier and grubbier.

For many years I used a Fender Twin, which stays clean and just gets LOUDER as you turn it up. If you want overdrive with a Twin you need a pedal. The DC30 is very different and took a while for me to get used to.

You can crank the DC30 up, turn your guitar volume down, and use the guitar volume to adjust the amount of overdrive you get. Use the 30W setting if you want louder clean tone, and the 15W setting if you need more dirt. The VOLUME doesn't really change, just the overdrive. I've thrown all my pedals away!

Investigate London Power PowerScaling. I had it fitted to my DC-30 and it works very well indeed.
