Title: Has anyone tried the DC30 with the C-lator? Post by: cyndicate on June 24, 2010, 10:00:08 PM I'm assuming there should be a big improvement since it will now provide a buffer for the loop correct? From what I understand the DC30 loop is also a "interrupt" style loop so there is no buffer in between and there will be a big loss of signal when using modulation/delay in there.

But I've have always wondered how would things go if I put a Boss Line Selector as a "buffer" to the loop. It is an easy try I'll have to do some of these days... got to find the time.
I use this loop trough a long stereo cable, that splits into send-return at the pedalboard on an hammond box. I'm sure there is some tone loss there. I compesate it a little with the TimeFactor as it has line/guitar level on inputs and outputs. But, being honest, I've noticed stronger tone "loss" caused by pedals in front of the amp, rather than the loop the way I use it. When you go trough pedals, there is always a compromise somehow... |
