Title: DC 30 - - - - Volume Control - - - - Post by: maw4neu on March 17, 2011, 10:44:07 AM I am now the PROUD owner of a Ceriatone DC30
I bought it of a guy who advertised it on Preloved.co.uk for £425.00. It was factory assembled and came in a head case complete with a Matchelss Logo. Apparently its around 3 years old . . . Im using it through a tatty old Laney 2x12 that houses a Celestion Greenback and a Celestion Vintage 30 and it sounds absolutely amazing . . . :) :) Im just finding my way around at the moment. Master Volume and Half Power options are excellent but the Volume Control is PRETTY AGRESSIVE . . . :( Very slight movements result in MASSIVE volume changes . . . Any ideas on how to CALM this down ! ! ! Title: Re: DC 30 - - - - Volume Control - - - - Post by: cmoore on March 17, 2011, 03:43:00 PM It is probably just the taper of the pot. Pull the chassis, put a ohm meter on the wiper and one other lead, turn the pot and then compare it to an audio taper pot of the same value.
