I recently noticed an issue with my yeti(crazy sounding amp as you may know)...the amp is very very quiet with both brights dis-engaged,but when I engage one of them,or worse both,the amp start making an *hisssss* sound.It's not that annoying when playing bedroom volumes,but lately I've played with master at 11 and it enormously increased (the gain was not too high,around 2 o clock).I noticed that the noise tends to quiet when high and presence pots are muted,but in that case the amp totally loses clarity so it's a no-go.Suggestions? I'm not playing near the amp,the pussy trimmer is at 12...the tubes are all glowing so they all work i guess...could it be a microphonic one?How can I figure it out without buying new ones(maybe for nothing)? Oh the hiss decreases but doesnt cease whe guitar volume is shut,dunno if it helps Thanks ! I haevn't played one, but I have built a similar circuit. I used some different values, but I didn't need the "era" zener circuit to have tons of gain. There is already plenty of gain.
