Title: New amp - Hot Rodded British Chupacabra Post by: ampkits on October 02, 2010, 06:33:02 PM Guys,
A new amp is up. It's a hot rodded british style that should get most the 80s rock and metal tones, and even more modern metal tones. You can still switch it to classic 60s style. Really meant for humbuckers, this one. I thought of including spandex pants with purchase of the amp instead of t shirts, but spandex is out of style here currently :) And oh yeah, bedroom playing is really possible with this one, while still getting lots of good distorted tones. Individual bias - now possible to use mismatched old tubes you saved under the bed! :) Will get clips posted as soon as possible! Thanks! I am happy to hear you say it makes an OK bedroom amp.....that is the only place I can wear Spandex anymore. Chip Title: Re: New amp - Hot Rodded British Chupacabra Post by: ampkits on October 03, 2010, 07:56:07 PM Davor,
Cool! Hmm..maybe just put it under British? Could be too messy? Chip - Hehe.. why not outside? If enough people do it, they'd call it fashionable. :) Thanks! Guys on Rig-Talk notified me that the Chupacabra has been released and we're all pretty excited. (after all, it's 80's modded Marshall madness over there ya know)
I can't wait to hear what this thing can do! After hearing clips of James Lugo's ceriatone plexi, I'm convinced that you don't need to drop 2G to get an authentic plexi/Marshall tone. Here it is if you guys want to check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4g7x7Fy5iPY |
