I just finished my first amp build after receiving Nik's Champ Ultra Kit and I am hooked!  I am planning the next three amps I want to build.
The amp sounds great and is virtually hum free, but I do have a few questions about two separate issues (at least I believe they are separate.).

First, I get absolutely zero sound change with the boost switch.  Any ideas what I did wrong?

Secondly, even with the Speed and Intensity dialed to zero, there is still a subtle low hertz tremolo bleeding through.  Is anybody else experiencing that?  If so, is that what this amp is supposed to do?  Is there a way to add a switch which will take the tremolo out of the circuit when a dry signal is required?

I am new at this and if these questions are stupid, I apologize, but I just want my first project to be perfect before going on to the next.

Thanks

So I figured out the vibro bleed.  It was a poor solder joint on the ground from the intensity pot.  But I checked everything else agian and the boost switch still does nothing.  I will now bother Nik.  Any ideas are appreciated.
thanks
