Hello, the other day, my girlfriend forgot to plug the speakers to the amp.

she said after 5 minutes or so she pluged it in but fuse blew. now it makes humming noise when it is even on standby. it blows fuse instantly if i take off from standby.

so i swapped the 6l6's and that hum on standby disappeared so i tried to play but now GZ34 tube glows momentally and no sound through guitar.

after reading GEOFEX debug page, I tested if OT was ok and it seems it is ok.
im just trying to check the PT but im just lost in the GEOFEX's debugging page.

"Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of the primary (usually Black - Black wires) and the resistance of both leads to the chassis. The primary should be under 1K ohms. If it is not, the transformer is dead"

I measured resistance with both leads on black wire. same point? is this right? it only gives me 0.1ohm.

"Measure the resistance to the chassis from both ends of the primary winding. It should be more than 1M ohm"

i dont understand what this means...

any advice would be greatful!

thank you always!

i'd try a new rectifier. if that doesn't work, new Output Tranny and Tubes.

Overdrive is like peanut butter. Some like it crunchy, some like it creamy.
Bluesmaster 50 2x12 combo and some guitars.
