Any one asking for specific changes to Nik's 5E3 before building? Just curious. Still vacillating between a 5E3 and a 5E8. Thx,

I asked Nik to install impedance selector, bigger PT to take 6L6, GZ34 tubes and I also added so called 'Bruce Collins Vol/Tone Mod.'

Those seem like great mods to ask for. The Bruce Collins thing, is that the Mission Tone Mod?

What about bias points? Or are they needed?

Yes, Tone mod from Mission amps. The amp was a little to dark for me and the volume curve was to steep. Volume pot was acting more like on/off switch  Cheesy
I don't see the need for bias points.
