Title: Biasing a 5E3 Post by: kurnol on March 16, 2008, 04:20:35 AM Started building the new 5E3 ceriatone this weekend, realised that I will need to bias the tubes after its complete. When I built the JTM I fitted a 1ohm resistor between pins 1 and 8 then down to earth, then with the KT66's in place measured the voltage at pin 8 when the amp was idle, because the resistor is 1 ohm the voltage reading is the same as the current.
