Title: schematic to access just the power amp of my 18 watter
Post by: johnnierotten on January 08, 2011, 12:54:49 PM
Does anyone have this info?  Id like to put an input to just drive the power amp so I can use a AMT SS-11 preamp. This preamp was not designed to go in the standard input of a guitar amp. Thank for any info all!

You can add Nik's simple interrupt FX loop and just use the return to plug the preamp into.

But to exactly answer your question, you the best pre-PI access is the wire that runs between the Normal Ch.'s Volume pot middle lug and the turret board.  On the linked pic, you'll see this wire replaced with the C and D notations for the return jack for the FX loop.

Oh and I would buy and used shielded wire for the FX loop leads...those are relatively long wires being run across the turretboard, tube sockets, filter and B+ voltage, etc.
