I had a 2061x lead and bass handwired reissue and loved the tone but would like to have the tmb options of this style amp. Which would get me close to that tone and give me the extra tonal options i.e which version as well as any mods than need to be done

I have the TMB version & it rocks!  You still have the basic channel with just volume & tone, but channel two has a master volume & the usual EQ tone controls- very useful for tone shaping.  I use mine with a simple A/B box to switch between channels for a fairly clean & lead options.  I also modded mine (fairly simple to do) with a separate effects send & return for each channel- I have an analogue echo on the lead channel & a touch of chorus on the clean- but you could insert most time- based effects here... hope that helps! effex
