Title: It's Here! Post by: jimR8 on April 03, 2009, 07:15:41 PM Just got my 36W. TMB EF86 from Nik. Ordered on March 9th and arrived on April 3rd. I love the TMB channel! Great Old Marshall sound at minimal volume. You can deffinately tell the head room difference from the 36w. to the 18w. switch
Have not played much with the EF86 channel. Seems a little bright. It seems to take pedals well. My chain is guitar - OCD - DD6 Delay - Holygrail. Had to play with the delay quite a bit, but very good tone in no time. I'm playing through a Gibson Les Paul Historic R8. Really sounds nice. Playing through a Marshall 1960 slanted cab and it sounds really beefy. Also just tried it through the Epiphone Value Junior Cab with a 1 x 12. Not near as ballsy, but still sounded good! Are we in the twilight zone?? ???
Anyhow, congrats on the new amp. If you're half as happy with yours as I am with mine, you're a very happy camper! My plexi has more beef than a T-bone steak and I can't stop playing it. It will be going on duty next Saturday at a good size club and I'm really looking forward to having this amp behind me blowing my pants around ;) Enjoy your 36! |
