Title: 36 Watt TMB EF86 - How Loud?!?! Post by: stonecutter on February 26, 2008, 11:55:39 PM Seriously thinking about the 36watt TMB EF86 and was curious to know how loud they are relative to an 18watt?
Are they real loud like the DC-30s? I know some guys get DC-30s and have to sell them because they are waaaay louder than the 30 watt rating would lead them to believe. Thanks. Ah, the 36W EF86 - our most under rated amp ever. :) As for loudness, I'd say it's just a hair less than a plexi50, really. It does have the 1/2 power switch, so that might help a bit. For those looking for a really good plexi sound, with a twist of Vox on the other channel, this is it. Not sure, but for Jimi's cleaner stuff, this amp excels over the plexi50. It's as big sounding as the plexi100, less the volume. The name isnt glamorous, I guess but I'll keep it that way. ;) Thanks! Nik |
