Post by: archtop on January 23, 2010, 01:03:05 PM
4x6V6, 5Y3 Rectifier, 30w, normal and bright input.
Tweed Twin Output Tranny at 4ohms

A bigger sounding tweed deluxe with tighter bottom end.
gets dirty early, incredibly touch responsive.

BTW, have you heard the OTS, or OTS Bluesmaster or OTS HRM's clean channel? Sounds about as good as any Fender  Deluxe, Twin or Boogie Mark series I've ever heard. I think Wes Montgomery would have liked it. Warm Bassman sound.

I'm not wild about tube rectifier amps for archtop duty. SS rectifiers much better for headroom concerns.

Then there's those Class D type transistor switching amps, that put out 500 watts and weight 5  pounds. There's some really fine transistor jazz amps out there, like AI's Clarus model. Oh la la!
