I tried 12 different Ef86 all sounds differently.
my favorite so fare is Telefunken nos EF86  western germany made.

The EF86 tubes can sound so differently.

very loud clean sounding i play mostly clean.
But i have install original matchless trafos wow

I`ve tried a Tone Tubby Alnico 12" with great results. 
The best speaker i tryed so far .

i just receive my Overton Special.
I change the tubes after first test and insert Nos Mullards long plated  that improve the sound verry much.
Now i wonder how i shall connect the klein ulator and what that do for the sound?
I hawe build a 2x12 box with Tone Tubby Alnico 12"
And one Cannabis Rex.
