Hi guys, new here and this is my 1st post. I rcvd my 50W Plexi fm Nik last Tues. Only took 2 wks fm ordering it and getting it. Kinda new to Marshall style amps. I used to have one of the 1st Bluesbreaker RI's but it never sounded good, at least not like I was expecting. I've always been a Fender guy, mostly Tweeds. Anyway, the other guitarist in my band uses a Marshall alot so I started looking around and liked what I heard about Ceriatone. That and a clip on YouTube by DDGuitar did it for me. Anyway, The amp is amazing, the build quality, the cabinet and most important, the tone. Easily the best sounding amp I own and I own many. All of my Fenders have NOS tubes so I read alot on a variety of Forums and bought a complete compliment of NOS in anticipation of this amp getting here. Long story short, this amp sounds so good I'm reluctant to change a thing. Eventually I will put the NOS tubes in and rebias it but I can't believe how good it sounds with the JJ E34l's and the Russian made Tung Sols. Based on further research and some Ceriatone reviews I read on HC I think I'm gonna mod it to 1986 specs. This is what Duane used and I've always loved his tone. The circuits are very similiar so it's an easy mod and just as easy to put back to stock and let me say again how amazing it sounds as is. I'm already thinking about my next one, something smaller but am having a hard time figuring out the main differences between the various 18 watters Nik offers and his 20 watter. Any suggestions guys? Let me say thanks to Nik for all the prompt email responses and great service, just when I thought great service was almost a thing of the past. I'm one happy customer and I love my Ceriatone 50W Plexi!
