HI , new guy here.
I first heard about Ceriatone years ago but never pulled the trigger. Been away from guitar for a long while but recently picked it back up.
I've been reading about and listening to the clips of the OTS 20 and it seems like a sweet rig.

My question is now I see 2 places in which to purchase a Ceriatone. One is direct from Nik, Ceriatone.com and then there is a US distributor --> ceriatone.net.
Does anyone have any input on the latter of the two???  Looks like their prices are a bit less , too.
Would appreciate any opinions.

I have to say I've appreciated all the good information being given here at the forum - thank you.

I've ordered from both. The .net is a better deal for U.S. customers but does not always have all the offering that Nik does. I think the OTS lunch box is a big seller so I'm sure it is stocked. Im not sure whether you can get certain custom options added such as PPIMV, 1/2 watt switch, etc... from the .NET site but you could email them and find out for sure.
For a non custom order I would go through them!

Hope that helps

Thanks Todd.

I appreciate your response. I guessed that mods from the US dist would probably not be allowed. While on their site, if I calculated correctly, a stock box would be somewhat cheaper than ordering directly from Nik(Huh?)

I was thinking to go just the stock route to start with as I'm not sure which mods, if any, I should get with this head.

If I may, what exactly is the PPIMV mod???

Thanks again for your help.

-nick

edit- so dumb me, I used the search function and find that a PPIMV is PostPhaseInverterMasterVolume.   Would that be necessary on a 20w amp???

I was just using that as an example Wink
But for all I know mods may be available from the US distributor just the same

Both sites offer options such as PPIMV, 1/2 Power, TAD Mustard Cap upgrade, etc. and certain models have more options also. They are listed on the ceriatone.net site on each product page.
Yes, the prices on the .NET site are lower.

I just ordered an OTS 20 from Scott on the .net site. He is just a US retailer, all the amps are still shipped directly from Nik in Malaysia to your door. Scott at .net was very helpful, I ordered there to save a few bucks, I ordered a chassis II version which is a complete amp without the cabinet. I'm having a custom 112 combo cabinet made by Sourmash.
