Funny you should say that Mcinku. I am considering a TW Express AFTER I finish my 1965, JTM 45 replica. I am really happy with my HRM though. Part of A. D.'s mystique was that he tweaked and built his amps for specific players. That is exactly what I decided to do!

I built me an Express a while ago but eventually I sold it... man that amp is something else. When you hit that chord with an Express... You better duck for cover...  Grin

I sold it 'cause my style of playing was not in line with that amp.... and I was not ready to convert.

I like having a few different amps. I intend to build a switching bank for stage use & set up my HRM, JTM 45, Vibrolux and Plexi 50 for live shows.

I'm going to incorporate it into a pedal board.

Her's a few pics of my new OTS.  The cabinet was made by Jeff Swanson in Beverly Ma.  Great guy to deal with.
Jeff used old fashion green-black levant with dog bone style handle and aluminum trim around the face.  He also used black corners and white piping.  The cabinets Jeff makes have dovetailed joinery as well.  Here's a link to his site http://www.swansoncabinets.com/

Thanks Nik I love my new OTS.  You're great!

LOL nope the valve is cutely stored inside,

Nice rig...

... but C-Lator or Tube-FX-Loop seems redundant to me... and also, Intellifex keeps the signal analog and all digital processing happens in parallel signal path,.... if I'm not mistaken, so that parallel function on the Fuchs is not needed.
Can you notice any difference between Tube-FX and C-lator if you use both in serial mode of course?

Yeah, the Intellifex does run an internal parallel mixer, but I had been using the Fuchs before & I'm comfortable with it.  Plus, I hadn't really figured out how to tweak the Intellifex until last week (first rack for me), and figuring out that there was no global kill dry took me a bit.

Here it is. My OTS (w. EL34's) halfstack built by Franc Vernet. Still fiddling with the settings... but boy it sounds great  Smiley.

I have a question about this. I have an Xpression and it has an internal mixer as well. So the dry signal stays analog. OK great this is what you want, But!!
How can you operate the internal mixer if there are no analog pot meters? or is it possible to operate internal analog pot meters using a digital interface? somehow that sounds strange.
sorry for posting this in the wrong forum.

Well, I"m not familiar with the Xpression, but in terms of the Intellifex there are "input" and "output" knobs.  However, for me, its just easier to set the unit to 100% wet & use the Fuchs loop to interface as a parallel mixer (I don't have to mess too much with the programming aspects of the Intellifex this way).
