 Grin YAY  Chair Dance
Ordered the 20W OTS from ceriatone.net like 5 minutes ago.
Assembled Chassis option

Been browsing for weeks but have a few questions I did not see addressed already.

Going to build a 1x12 cab to start.  I have a pair of old Jensen C12N.  One works great, the other needs some work and is a future project.  Any experience with these in an OTS?  Impressions?  Reviews?  Playing classic rock, jazz & blues type stuff.  Mostly at home learning stuff and some practice with a local band.  Not gigging with them yet but will happen eventually.

Chassis only so building head cab also.  Any dimensions for a mini20 cab?  I've looked and haven't found much in the way of actual plans.  I can figure that out after I get it as I am an experienced woodworker but plans are always nice.  Be nice to just slip it into a ready-made head cab on day one.  Lead time will prevent rushing it...figure I'll just want to play once it arrives.  I'm not interested in a combo.

K-lator with kit-clone (maybe) pedals someday but was gonna go with a TCNova in the loop to kick things off.  I've read this will work without degrading tone.  Haven't bought it yet.  TCNova impressions?  Basing this on claims of effect transparency.  Not terribly interested in the drive part of it...will build a Klon eventually.

Thanks for your opinions and advice...I've learned so much from you all already.

(C12N's were from an old EMC PA someone was throwing out.  Also 2 working Universal Sound ID-40A w/ horns.  SCORE!)

EDIT:  Ceriatone.net is where I ordered from.  Sorry Scott.  http://guitarampsusa.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=80_81

Arrived  Chair Dance

Happy  Chair Dance

Barely started futzing and tone already a whole other class than the 80's SS transistor-radio sounding POS I been playin since I was 14.  Got that feel-it- in-your-chest tone...gonna keep tweaking until it moves lower  Grin.

C12N sounds great.  Built the AX84 1x12 cabinet.  Brother-in-law has a press and got the other one's magnets apart damage-free so will re-center/re-cone have 2x12 eventually.  Have materials for head cabinet and 4 days off of work.  Should enclose next week after finish cures.

Nova system working great in the loop with a little futzing.  No noticeable tone degradation.  Lost the drive functionality but not caring much.  Have not tried RC-30 Loop Station yet.  Thinking this is gonna be phail but hoping it'll work after the Nova in the loop.  Anyone get this or similar to work without the c/k-lator?  Too busy playing to gearsturbate anymore...in fact BYE.

Awesome...
Cabinets were finished a while ago.  Been tweaking and toning and finding some beautiful sounds.  Haven't settled yet but definitely narrowing to some sweet stuff.

The home rig:

1st ever cab builds.  Learned a lot.  Some blemishes but it's for home and sounds great so who cares.  Gig rig planned - Dumble style speaker cab and prettier head.  Maybe tolex this time.
1990 LPStudio has been neglected over the years.  Gave the old girl some love.  Fret leveling and re-crown.  50's wiring with 500k pots.  Playing better than she ever has.  New nut and bridge saddles are next project.

Some mad-scientry goin on lately:

New friend.
2005 G&L S-500 Tribute Korea.  OMG these are nice guitars.  Played a bunch of US Fenders trying to find a good match for myself.  This one blew me away at 1/3 the price of lesser quality guitars (based on the ones I tried at least).  G&L's are designed by...Leo Fender  Grin
