Post by: OldRushFan on July 20, 2008, 06:23:33 AM Just finished my Lightning build using Ceriatone's kit as a foundation and adding some components from Alessandro, Sozo and West Labs. I modded the first stage just a tad (added just a smiggen more low end) and have been really pleased with the results. I also put in a Standby switch and a few other minor tweeks, but, as with my HC-30, this amp is an absolute joy to play! I still got to order a cab from Gabkits for it and as soon as I do, I'll post some pics.
I really like these Matchless circuits once I got into them - sensible layouts, easy to work on, and tone to die for...what more could could you ask for. Great stuff (as usual) from Nik! Here it is with my HC/30 on top. The cab is birch, mostly prepped and just waiting for the vinyl.
