Title: TL806 Cab
Post by: rvf263 on September 09, 2010, 05:49:29 AM
Hi,
I was wonderiong if anyone has built the TL806 Cab using these plans:.

http://archives.telex.com/archives/EV/Builders%20Plans/TL806%20Builders%20Plans.pdf

I want to build this for my EVM12L but when I look at the plans I don't see the dimensions for the frame. Am I missing something?

Does anyone know what the dimensions are for the frame?

Would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

I think I figured it out.
I'm not sure these are 100% correct because I haven't built it yet, but I think it's right.

If there's an error please post.

Here's a pic:

(measurements are in inches)

I have built two of these cabs, from these plans, and they were not difficult projects.
About 4-5 hrs ready to finish.
I have JBL K120s in them and they are great.
You get so much out the speaker. A lot of sound you didn't
even know was there.
Very efficient cabs.
I really like them.
Good luck-
George

Hi, I also build two TL-806 speaker cabinet from the Electro Voice plans, I used Eminence Delta Pro 12A speakers witch are clone of the EV, and I'm very happy with the tone they produce, if you like big bass you are going to be in heaven.

I add 3 inchs plus an other wall on each side, the cavity is fill with polyester fibres so now the cabinet is not any more narrower than my amplifiers heads. Highly recommend design.
