hi guys
i have a noobie question. was thinking of getting a 5-watter for use in my apartment. problem is, i've heard that even these babies might be too loud?

any advice?

I'd say that they can be too loud, but you should be able to keep the volume down easily enough as long as you don't need to get distortion from the amp at these quiet volumes.

If you do want to use this amp's distortion, I would recommend looking at getting an attenuator, or perhaps installing a variable Voltage regulator. VVR wouldn't be to involved in this, seeing as it is cathode biased.

hey thanks alot for the advice. i actually spoke to nik from ceriatone and he did mention that a 5-watt would be equivalent to a 30-watt solid state. he's currently got a 5-watter sitting at his office, might check that out.
